| Time to Love each Other |
|
I just wanted to thank everyone for all the love
and caring we've received throughout this ordeal.
I think many new friendships and relationships
have been formed----there's always some light in
the darkness. It's been amazing to see how Alexis'
passing has affected people, in a positive way. It
gives everyone a fresh taste of life. Slogging
your way to the grocery in the rain doesn't seem
so bad now, because you're alive and you can do
it! And the next time someone invites you to a
concert or a night out you might not stay home
because you're tired---there's no rest for the
wicked! Alexis'love for life has really diffused
out into the rest of us, and we need to honour him
and keep his memory alive by loving our own lives
and our own selves. This blog has blown me away,
it took on a life of it's own and we will continue
to update it from time to time with pictures and
Alexis stories, so if you have any more to tell,
leave a comment for everyone to read. I also
wanted to say that the "Alexis Lives" party will
be an annual fundraiser in his honour every year
around the 13th of October. Peace and lots of love
to you all. And thank you with all my heart.

Thanks so so much to everyone who made the
fabulously successful Alexis party so amazing
(and
possible): Lindsay, Nat, Cara and Wade; Kelsey
and
the Creation Station Decor; mario, malcolm and
ben
of Open Studios; Rebecca for the beautiful art
projects; mr_eddie, suez and malaika for
the amazing tech feats; u-tern, mark brennan,
timothy and woodhead for the fabulous beats;
ghetto for equally fabulous beats and for decking
us out for the evening; Your Little Pony and
Jailbait Jenny who are pure sass; Stace Prints
and
Cass for hooking us up with him; Cherise and
Teddy
for keeping the drinks flowing, Jessica Rabbit,
Ange, Erin, Malanie, Michelle and everyone I may
have forgotten to mention or who helped with set-
up and tear-down... thank you so much! This was a
beautiful event and I'm so glad we had an
opportunity to send off our boy with love,
celebration and positivity, Alexis-style... xoxo

PS: We found a greyish-silverish little Siemons
Fido cell phone in the lost and found. The
battery
appears to be dead. If it's yours, please e-mail
me at crystalprecious@gmail.com. Also, Lindsay
lost her wallet, it's black with pink and she
REALLY needs it back. Thanks! CP

| Alexis 4-Ever |
|
Hi everybody,
Thank you so much to everybody who
contributed to Alexis' memorial on Saturday---it
was truly awesome and inspiring for everybody
there. The slideshow made me bawl (mission
accomplished JJ) and the support from everyone
was outstanding. We are all missing such an
amazing man and I think he got the memorial he
deserved. For those of you that missed it I have
to tell you about the showstopper---when Alexis'
dad stood up to speak and floored us all by
ripping off his dress shirt to reveal Alexis'
Iron Maiden shirt underneath, then started
rapping. My jaw hit the ground so hard I think it
left a bruise. Alex made his son very proud. We
are now working towards our "Alexis Lives!" party
this Friday the 4th. It will be held at the Open
Studios space on Main and 1st(exact address still
to come), doors open at 9pm, and dress code is
Alexis inspired costume. Drinking of beer is
strongly encouraged as is loudness,
belligerentness, dancing, and storytelling. There
will be a bar, some live shows and great music.
We are getting amazing amounts of help from DJ's,
visual artists, security personnel and many more
sassy ladies and gentlemen. We want to give
Alexis a going-away party to be proud of. Someone
told me that when vikings died and went to
Valhalla, they were sent with plenty of noise and
cheers. I think that's the way Alexis would want
to go. Come help us celebrate! Lots of Love,
Lindsay
